#WCW: Carnival Queens! West Indian Day Parade 2019

carnival.JPG

Labor Day in Brooklyn looks a lot different than your typical cookout anywhere else in the country. Every year on the first Monday of September, millions of people flood East Parkway for Labor Day Carnival, also known as the West Indian Day Parade, to celebrate the culmination of New York Caribbean Carnival Week. We’re talking music, costumes, feathers, sequins, and lots of skin. Click on the thumbnails in our gallery below to see our favorite queens in costume from this year’s parade.

Happy Carnival!
